Quenelda Clegg

Quenelda Clegg is the Director of Programmes at ChildFund New Zealand, an international child-focused NGO. Quenelda oversees ChildFund New Zealand’s development and humanitarian assistance programs that are delivered in eight dedicated communities across Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. Previously, Quenelda worked at the World Bank, United Nations, and with local community organisations in indigenous Australia, Timor-Leste, and Nepal. Currently, Quenelda is also the Chair of New Zealand’s Council for International Development Humanitarian Network and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on Huber Social’s Ethical Review Board to broaden her engagement with the sector.

Kat Clements

Kat lives in Perth, Western Australia and considers herself a student of life. She has a hybrid career, working across higher education, career design and social impact. At Curtin University, Kat supports students to engage as partners with the university on initiatives that address the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Kat is also the founder of Sparkbright, which helps people build for-purpose careers, and Director of the Spacecubed Foundation, supporting the development of changemakers through entrepreneurial education, research and regional initiatives. Prior to her work in higher education, Kat spent ten years working in the not-for-profit sector, and holds a BA in Arts Management from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development.

Kat is a keen member of the Huber Social Ethical Review Board as the organisation’s values align closely with her own and she is curious to learn about initiatives around the world that aim to improve wellbeing.

Ric Dale

Ric has worked in the human services sector for 30 years, supporting people through emergency relief, family support, youth, homelessness, childcare, mental health, and disability services in Victoria, Pakistan, and Western Australia. A commitment to evidence-informed practice and continually improving performance and impact has increasingly led him into the practice of outcomes measurement.

Since November 2016 Ric has been implementing a social impact measurement framework and culture across the YMCA WA. He also chairs the Social Impact Measurement Network Australia (SIMNA) WA Organising Committee and is a foundational committee member for The Well of Life Vision Inc. (TWOLV).

Ric has joined the Huber Social Ethical Review Board because he is interested in how other organisations implement ethics in their social impact work and is happy to contribute.

Ines Gomes

Ines is a human with heart, skill and experience, and who is always looking for opportunities to establish meaningful, inclusive and lasting relationships. Through her work in innovation, human centred design, visual thinking and business consulting, Ines has been able to add significant value to projects and initiatives, setting them off for success and establishing solid foundations for growth and improvement as well capacity building in 'new ways of working' (e.g. using the Lean Startup and Agile). Ines's footprint has spanned different industries, from private sector organisations to local government and not for profits. Ines is currently the Village Hub Activation Lead for the Seniors Connected Village Hubs National Grants Manager Activity which aims to alleviate feelings of loneliness and social isolation amongst Australians aged 55 years and over.

 

Myrna Machuca-Sierra

Myrna Machuca-Sierra is an Associate Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at Tetra Tech International Development. In this role, Myrna manages the design and evaluation of public policies, programs and projects in education, social services, inclusive growth, and economic development in Asia Pacific. Before that, Myrna worked for the World Bank designing, implementing, and evaluating high-impact policies and programs in early childhood development, education, school-to-work transitions, and youth development in Latin America and the Caribbean, East Asia and the Pacific, and Central Asia.

In supporting Huber Social, Myrna is looking forward to learning more about the work various organisations in the social impact space are doing, and to helping them maximize their positive impact in their communities.

Nick Pride

As a Strategic Wealth Adviser, Nick helps his HNW Private, Not For Profit and Institutional clients achieve their personal and financial goals by helping them identify the right strategy, structure and investment portfolio for their needs. He then partners with them over the long-term through a trust-based advice relationship to grow their wealth and passive investment income to ensure they achieve financial security. Nick holds a Masters of Applied Finance (Financial Planning).

Gautam Pingali

Gautam is a Social Impact Evaluation Officer at the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion. He has over five years of social impact experience while completing his PhD and Honours in Social Sciences, and six years industry experience in IBM Cybersecurity Team. He completed his PhD from UTS on the social impact of mining on the Indigenous communities in eastern India and his Honours research from University of Queensland on the social impact of landfills. In 2020, Gautam completed training in Huber Social’s Wellbeing Measurement Framework to measure human wellbeing. He currently serves as a member of Huber Social Ethical Review Board and previously served as a member on UTS’ Academic, Faculty and Research Boards. He is passionate about measuring and evaluating social impact, engaging with stakeholders, and analysing data. Outside of work, Gautam competes as an endurance athlete and enjoys getting creative in his start up.

 

Tim Dyke

Tim is an executive coach, leadership development practitioner and practice lead at Leading Well. He also consults in areas of research ethics, integrity and governance with OmniAdvisory Consulting. During his career spanning 4 decades, he was a senior executive at the National Health and Medical Research Council where he led the research ethics policy area. He is passionate about research ethics and integrity and the social impact of research and is interested in ensuring research involving humans, their tissues and data is conducted according to ethical frameworks.  

Anna Wild

Anna is an experienced Human Resources leader specialising in strategic talent management, HR Data and Analytics, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion within the Financial Services sector, having held roles at ASX and Westpac Group.

She has a passion for sustainable development and has spent 9 months volunteering in rural Uganda, focusing on Sexual Health Education. Serving on Huber Social's Ethic Review Board aligns with her commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of vulnerable populations.

 

Elizabeth Svoboda

Elizabeth is currently the Risk and Compliance Lead at Youth off the Streets (YOTS). She have dipped her toes into several career areas over the years including Allied Health, financial services, and executive management in the not-for-profit sector (including disability and aged care). As an Allied Health Professional working in public health, she was offered an executive role, which fostered a great interest in governance as well as systems and processes to optimise departmental performance, outcome and impact. Elizabeth is also a registered Chartered Secretary and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Elizabeth derives great satisfaction in driving business performance through the transformational leadership of people, strategy and operations. She have developed experience in financial management and reporting, governance and compliance, policy development, risk management, people and culture, and administration.

Elizabeth is a generalist with a long-term and deep interest in measuring outcomes and impact which she views as essential for organisations to maximise their social impact but also to educate the community and stakeholders, and provide funders with the information they require.

 

Roslyn Affleck

Ros comes from a background in law. At the State Solicitor’s Office she provided legal advice and representation to the Government of Western Australia and to a wide range of state government departments and agencies. She is passionate about justice and equality issues, and is currently involved in home-education. 

Ros is thoroughly enjoying being a member of the Ethical Review Board and learning about the valuable impact of social impact measurement in improving the quality of life for all people. 

 

Neil Shelswell, CFA

Neil is currently engaged in Financial Markets Compliance at Westpac Institutional Bank.

Over the years he has had a varied professional career.  After starting out as a stockbroker in Toronto, Neil joined UBS Warburg in Switzerland before transitioning across into portfolio management at UBS Wealth Management – first in Zurich and then as the Head of for Australia. 

After UBS, Neil moved on to financial advisory where he developed a keen interest in ethical and socially responsible investments, designing and managing ethical investment products for his firm’s clients.

Leaving the advice space, he co-founded Tyche Asset Management & Tyche Venture Capital. In that role he wore multiple hats, serving as Head of Compliance, Chief Investment Officer, Trustee and Company Director. This period sparked an ongoing interest in corporate governance, which led him to become a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Neil became a member of Huber Social’s Ethical Review Board in 2023 as a means of giving back to the broader community.

Dr Noma Nyembo

Dr Noma Nyembo is passionate about social impact and has led projects with a social lens during her career which spans almost three decades. She has held leadership roles covering Sub Sahara Africa and her international experience was in a global federation, with a presence in Europe, Middle East, Asia, North America, South America and Africa. Noma completed a doctorate at the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Her study investigated the social license to operate from a community perspective. She also completed an MA in Industrial Psychology: relationship between organisational commitment and work performance, and an MBA: the effectiveness of complaint management strategies.

Aisling Blackmore

Aisling is an independent professional dedicated to fostering inclusive, accessible, and effective organisations. Her professional background spans a range of sectors, including tertiary education, non-profits, and federal government. Through these roles, Aisling has worked across local to international levels, and developed expertise working collaboratively with young people, people with disabilities, and people with experience of mental health distress. Aisling holds a Master of Arts by Research. She is currently the Head of Programs and Consulting at Future Directors. Usually based in Perth, Western Australia, Aisling will be on an adventure as a digital nomad in 2024 across South America.  

Michelle Gray

Michelle is a passionate advocate for social enterprise and has a special interest in the role that research can play in shaping the business of social enterprise. With extensive business development and operational management experience, Michelle brings a wealth of professional experience to Huber Social. In addition to her professional expertise, Michelle also has experience in the academic field, with an MBA and Graduate Certificate in Research. To continue her academic pathway Michelle will be embarking on a Doctoral Degree specific to Social Enterprise and the Health Service in the near future. Michelle is excited to bring her experience to the board and is looking forward to seeing the positive impact that future projects will have.

Ashleigh Hansen

Ashleigh is a degree qualified Naturopath (BHSc) currently completing a Masters of Research, with Southern Cross University, focusing on women’s reproductive healthcare. She has worked previously as a birth and post-partum doula in her private naturopathic clinic. Ashleigh is passionate about women’s health, women’s rights and environmental protection and preservation.

Ashleigh is looking forward to engaging with the Huber Social community in 2023, to learn of social impact projects improving human wellness and dignity, and be a part of meaningful change in the world.

Vincent Mwangi

Vincent Mwangi has over five years of experience in international development. He is currently the Head of Programs and Partnerships at Mama Hope, where he manages the LDA Program to support locally-led organisations to scale and broaden their impact. He also builds eye-level partnerships with these organisations. Vincent is also a member of Proximate’s advisory committee, and he supports the organisation in exploring participatory problem-solving approaches across the globe. Mwangi has also worked with different family foundations in supporting the systems strengthening of their grantee organisations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi.
